Inspiration before the Day of Atonement to air on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET
As millions of Jews make plans to attend services this year, vaccinated and socially distanced, millions of others will remain at home due to illness, health concerns or government mandate.
Following the outpouring of gratitude that came after last year’s pre-Yom-Kippur online Yizkor program, Chabad.org has planned a fresh pre-Yom Kippur event, set to air on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET and 5:30 p.m. PT.
Logging in from around the world, viewers will join in song and reflection, taking a soul journey inspired by traditional High Holiday tunes, and hear a powerful and intimate talk about the significance of Yom Kippur.
The sermon will be given by Rabbi Moishe New, spiritual leader of the Montreal Torah Center and an acclaimed Chabad.org lecturer.
He will be accompanied by Shulem Lemmer, a recording artist and cantor whose powerful voice and heartfelt prayers have made him a rising star. He is also the first born-and-raised Chassidic artist to sign with a major label.
The program was designed to provide the mood and inspiration to fuel soulful worship for those who will be only in the presence of close family members.
