Meet Menachem Mendel, Yosef Yitzchok and Sholom Dovber, three courageous young men from Rostov who today underwent a Bris Milah in our Shul, after 4 months of anticipation and uncertainty. They were originally planning on undertaking this great Mitzvah in honor of the Rebbe Rashab’s 100th yahrtzeit on the 2nd of Nisan, but due to the virus the Mohel was only able to come today.
Rostov is known as a city of three Rebbe’s, and today these three brave men have the great zchus – merit – to adopt the names of our Rebbeim. MAZEL TOV! We wish them and the other two Brisim today – Eliyahu and Avraham Shlomo – לתורה לחופה ולמעשים טובים!
“Realizing how special it is to live in the Rebbe Rashab’s city, I wanted to be named in his honor,” said Sergei, now Sholom Dovber.
“I was devastated when I was told the Mohel wasn’t able to come on Beis Nisan.”
Today, thirty minutes after his Bris, Sholom Dovber went to visit the Rebbe Rashab’s ohel to share the great news with the Rebbe Rashab.
