On January 30, 1933, the Nazis held a torch-lit procession through the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin to mark Hitler’s rise to power. Hitler delivered fiery speeches, declaring the urgent need to rid the world of the so-called “bacteria” of the Jewish people. The Brandenburg Gate became a symbol of the Nazi regime’s hatred and oppression.

This week, three hundred teens from across Europe gathered to celebrate their Judaism at CTeens Shabbaton. Together, they proclaimed: Am Yisroel Chai!

“In the place where we saw the greatest darkness, we must bring the greatest light.”
