Chabad of the Valley uses day of respect, Lag B’omer, to say thanks to hospital workers

Chabad of the Valley was highly keen on celebrating Lag B’omer,  a lesser-known Jewish holiday of unity, love and respect.

So, Chabad organizers put together a humble but meaningful procession — a car parade — to celebrate last week and gave thanks to hospital workers on the frontlines of Covid-19 at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.

“These staff work tirelessly for the health and safety of our community,” said Rabbi Yanky Kahn, of the Chabad. “We hope and pray that this terrible plague will quickly come to an end.”

According to chabad.org,  Lag B’omer is a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrated with outings, bonfires, parades and other joyous events.
